Intensive Courses

Intensive courses of Patterning Therapy – consisting of 6x 2 hour sessions spent actively working with the child – are held in Swansea and can be spread over 3 or 5 days. Both usually start on a Monday with sessions in the morning and afternoon – in the morning various activities are tried in order to ascertain which would be the most beneficial to include in the child’s individual programme, followed by an afternoon of working through the programme 2 or 3 times with the help of a parent.

A 3 day course will have sessions each morning and afternoon while spreading it over 5 days gives the opportunity to combine the course with a family holiday, working only in the mornings on days 2-5 leaving the afternoons free to explore the local area which has plenty to offer being close to both the Gower coast and the Brecon Beacons. This option is less tiring for the child, and having something to look forward to in the afternoon gives motivation for working harder in the mornings.

In the final session, suggestions are given for activities to continue at home in order to build on what has been achieved during the course.
